Raymond Green was born at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA on Nov. 1, 1978. He was taken from his mother’s home 5 days later. That was the last time Raymond was seen.
Donna Green was 15-years-old when she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. One day, as she stood admiring her baby from behind the nursery glass, a woman came up beside her and they began to talk. The woman introduced herself as “Lisa.” She told Donna she was visiting her sister, who had also just given birth. “Lisa” was a black woman who was likely in her early 20s.
Over the next few days “Lisa” befriended Donna. She asked Donna questions about herself and Raymond and spent a great deal of time visiting the young mother and her baby.
When Donna and Raymond were leaving, they ran into “Lisa” outside the hospital doors. Donna’s mother was there to pick her daughter and grandson up and “Lisa” asked for a ride home. “Lisa” claimed she lived in their neighborhood and offered to walk home from Donna’s house.
Investigators now believe this was a ploy used by “Lisa” to learn where Donna lived.
Days later, on Nov. 6, “Lisa” unexpectedly came to Donna’s house. Because Donna now thought of her as a friend, “Lisa” was welcomed into the home. While “Lisa” was there, Donna left the room to take a shower, leaving her brother and “Lisa” to watch Raymond.
While Donna was in the shower, Raymond started crying. “Lisa” offered to hold the baby. She said she was going to walk outside to try and calm him down. Donna and her family never saw Raymond again.
Neighbors have told investigators that they saw someone fitting the abductor’s description entering a brown car driven by someone else.
Investigators believe Raymond may still be in Atlanta, and may have no knowledge that he is a missing child. He may not go by the name Raymond, and his abductor may not go by the name “Lisa.”
Those who abduct infants often become familiar with victim parents prior to the abduction. See more characteristics of infant abductors at www.missingkids.com/InfantAbduction.
